The big day for love is this Friday and there’s plenty of events around Louisville to choose from. Grab your friends, your partner, your mom, or just yourself and celebrate love – the best thing in the world.
Check out the list below for a direct link to each event page.
Get cozy at The MerryWeather in Germantown and settle in for a classic lineup of ‘love’ movies including Natural Born Killers and Annie Hall. Indulge on small plates and free chocolates. What more could you want?
For all my vegan friends out there, V-Grits has you covered. This is a first come, first served dinner special, so get there on time (no fashionably late dates allowed). Enjoy a lineup of lasagna, spinach salad, garlic bread, and dessert. Choose a beer from False Idol Brewers, a glass of wine, of the “Conscious Uncoupling” chocolate cherry cocktail.
A glass of bubbly is the symbol of celebration. Celebrate Valentine’s Day at The Champagnery on Frankfort Ave. with their Valentine Je T’aime package. For $60, couples will receive a guided shared flight, followed by two glasses of your favorite-flight selection paired with chocolate-covered strawberries and a long-stem rose. Charcuterie boards will also be offered. Talk about a perfect date night experience.
DINNER AND A SHOW
Take your date for a private cocktail class at Rabbit Hole this Valentine’s Day. Guests will enjoy a cocktail class overlooking NuLu and downtown before pairing Rabbit Hole’s Dareringer bourbon with chocolates from Butchertown Grocery’s chocolatier, Scott Turner. Tickets are $125.
Ever wanted to take salsa dance lessons? Now is your chance. Enjoy cocktails and light appetizers before taking the floor for salsa dance lessons led by Chelsey Owen. After shaking your stuff, sit down for a four-course buffet dinner by Marigold Catering. Each couple will also receive a bottle of wine. Tickets are $165/couple. Sign me up!
Dance your cares away at High Horse Bar this Friday. The group who created the infamous Brunch and Beats series at the now closed Butchertown Social are hosting this pop-up dance party on Story Avenue starting at 10. Get down to Hip-Hop, R&B, Ballads, and Top 40 until the day of love is over. Tickets are $5.
Benefit a local organization that advocates, fosters, and homes Pit Bull Terriers and dance at the BBC Bourbon Barrel Loft for Saving Sunny’s Sweetheart Dance. Bring your loved ones to this high school dance themed benefit for a night of dancing, drinks, hor d’oeuvres, and a professional photo booth. Tickets are $30 until the day of when they go up to $40.
If Valentine’s Day and all the mush around it isn’t your thing, grab your crew for rosé cocktails and dancing at the Moxy downtown. Zombie Taco will also be running specials, so your drunk munchies are covered. No cover charge for ladies. $10 cover for men after 8pm.
