Mid-summer Finds From Anthropologie

Long time no see everyone. I’ve been a bit shit at writing blog posts lately, but today I can’t help but share a few new pieces I picked up in the Anthropologie 4th of July sale a few weekends ago.

I went in with my best friend Kelsey during a trip to visit her in Indianapolis for my birthday weekend and immediately fell in love with their sale selection. I was pleasantly surprised at how many things I loved and even more pleasantly surprised that the sale was an extra 50% off.

Unfortunately, these items are no longer an extra 50% off, but I’ve managed to link some of them below while they’re still on regular sale. Anthropologie isn’t a store I usually shop at, mostly because it’s so expensive, but also because it’s a lot of print and color I don’t typically gravitate towards.

After this shopping trip, I think I’ve been converted??? My wallet isn’t happy about this revelation. Anyway, enjoy these pieces I picked up!

lemon print top anthropologie

lemon printed white top

lemon print top backI’m obsessed with this lemon print puff sleeve top. It gives me such 70s vibes. I feel like both a 70s bohemian girl in a band or a women who loves to garden and walk to the farmers market on Saturday mornings. Either way, I’m channeling both in this top and loving it.

The diagonal green stripes are visually flattering from the front, and the embroidered lemons are small enough to still draw interest without overwhelming the the shape of the top. So far I’ve loved wearing it with my Everlane denim shorts, white jeans, and light wash denim cutoff jeans paired with camel colored leather sandals and a straw bag.

snakeskin print midi skirt

midi print snakeskin skirtThis snakeskin print pleated skirt stopped me in my tracks. It’s lightweight, a gorgeous mix of cream and navy, and a perfect midi length. I’ve tried on a million pleated skirts and never had luck because I find they make me look wider than I am, but this one didn’t at all. The pleats are wide enough to be flattering on anyone.

I haven’t figured out what kind of top to pair it with yet, but I’m thinking a tight navy blue bodysuit or tank. Let me know what you recommend.

camel chelsea boots

And last but certainly not least are these camel colored Chelsea boots. I am actually in love in every sense of the word. I’ve been on the hunt for a new pair of brown ankle boots for a few seasons now and haven’t found any to fit the bill until I saw these.

They’re beautifully made, comfortable, and have a really flattering, slightly square toe. Unfortunately they are completely sold out. But can you see why? I can’t wait to style these in the fall and winter.
