Happy October everyone! October always feels like a fresh start. I love to pack away summer clothes in favor of sweaters, boots, and jackets. Goodbye sweaty, humid Louisville summer, hello crisp and breezy days of fall.
Jackets are something I’ve always found I need more of each season, but never get around to purchasing. I either wear the same leather jacket with everything (the one you see in this post) or panic and try to make a cardigan work until it’s time for a coat. It’s not a good look.
So this year I’m making more of a conscious decision to expand my jacket collection and style them throughout fall. And I think I’ve found a beautiful new addition I didn’t know I needed. Say hello to this copper suede jacket from Uniqlo.
It’s boxy. It’s cropped. It’s soft. And it’s under $50. What more could you want? I’d love to style this in a complete copper/cream/tan monochrome look. But I also love how the deep brown juxtaposes against the light wash of these blue jeans.
How would you style this jacket? I’m going to play around with it more and keep you updated.
The second look is my trusty black leather jacket. Don’t tell Devin, but I think I love this jacket more than anything? It’s possible. He’ll understand.
I’ve had this one for a few years now, but here’s a similar version. Again, this jacket is slightly cropped, but a bit more fitted than the suede jacket. It’s so easy to throw on top of any outfit and to dress up or down.
I love wearing it with pants like this that are high waisted or with high waisted skirts to show off my waist. Honestly though, you can wear it with anything and instantly feel like a boss bitch. I’m telling you. Nothing will make you feel more like you can conquer the world than a leather jacket.
